Bengaluru is odd one because Adilshah granted jagir of Bengaluru to shahahji raje after Nizamshahi was wiped out, all other jagirs were owned by Shahaji raje in Nizamshahi.

Jadhavs of Phaltan is odd one because Javali, Mudhol, and Sawantwadi all were the dynasties of the rulers Mores, Ghorpades, and Sawants respectively. But Jadhavs of Phaltan  was not the ruler of Phaltan dynasty.

Sindhudurg odd one because, Sindhudurg is a sea fort all others are land forts

Veermata Jijabai was a competent and visionary political expert. She constantly guided Shivaji in the mission of establishing Swaraj.

• Veermata Jijabai was very particular about giving excellent education to Shivaji.
• She instilled in him values lke modesty, truthfulness, oratory, vigilance, courage, fearlessness.
• She saw that he was trained in usage of weapons.
• She inspired in him the will to dream of Swaraj.

Shivaji Maharaj started the work of founding the Swaraj in the Maval region, because

• Maval region was a part of his Pune Jagir.
• The terrain of Maval was full of hills and valleys and was not easily accessible.
• He could make use of these geographical features very skillfully for founding the Swaraj.

Yesaji Kank, Baji Pasalkar, Bapuji Mudgal, Narhekar Deshpande brothers, Kavji Kondhalkar, Jiva Mahala, Tanaji Malusare, Kanhoji Jedhe, Bajiprabhu Deshpande and Dadaji Narasprabhu Deshpande were companions and associates of Shivaji Maharaj at the time of founding the Swaraj.

Shahajiraje himself aspired to establish ‘Swaraj’ by ousting the power of the foreign people. Shahajiraje had arranged for providing excellent education to Shivaji so as to enable him to become a king. Therefore, he is termed as a Swaraj visionary.

• After conquest and capture of Raigad, Kalyan and Bhiwandi on the Konkan coast, Shivaji Maharaj came in contact with the Siddi, the Portuguese and the British powers.
• He realised that in order to fight these powers, it was necessary to have a strong naval force. Therefore, Shivaji Maharaj paid attention to building a navy.

• Shaistakhan, the Mughal Sardar, invaded Pune Province when Shivaji Maharaj was trapped at Panhala.
• After managing to escape from the siege laid by Siddi Jauhar, he realised that it would not be prudent to fight two enemies at one and the same time.
• Therefore, Shivaji Maharaj entered into a treaty with Adilshah.

• Shivaji Maharaj opened talks with Siddi Jauhar who laid siege to Panhala fort.
• The peace talks led to slackness in the siege.
• Taking advantage of this situation, Shivaji Maharaj managed to escape from Panhala.
