• In 1983, India won the Cricket World Cup.
• Cricket grew in popularity all over the nation as a result of this historic victory.
• In 1985, India won the Benson and Hedge World Championship.
• Sunil Gavaskar surpassed Sir Donald Bradman's record for most centuries in a test match.

As a result, the popularity of cricket increased. Therefore, cricket began to be played all over India.

• As more movies are being made abroad, the cost of producing a movie has increased. The movies were once only screened in one cinema hall and on one screen.
• Thousands of multiplexes in India and overseas now show the same movie in parallel.
• In the past, a well-liked movie would play in a theatre for 100 weeks.
• Currently, a movie is only shown in multiplexes for a few weeks at most.

The economy of the film business has evolved as a result of all these advancements.

• There are dialects of the Indian languages.
• A language is enriched by these dialects.
• These are common people's modes of expression.
• They play a significant role in our culture.

However, their population is currently decreasing. Therefore, it is necessary to keep alive the dialects of the Indian languages

• Our first TVs were in black and white. These developed into coloured models, and now flat-screen LED TVs are available.
• Earlier, only some television programmes were broadcast at designated timeslots. They now broadcast educational programmes, real-time news coverage of events, etc.
• In 1998, a private media company called STAR (Satellite Television Asia Region) launched in India.
• The usage of OB (Outdoor Broadcasting) vans and studios outfitted with the newest technology, as well as the language and presentational style, have broadened the appeal of Indian TV. They have added openness and variety.
• The TV has great impact on politics as it has connected the entire country.
